August 2010

So far, in 2010, the Lord has provided for all the windows and outside doors to be installed, all the cement sub-floors to be completed, the heating and plumbing pipes to be installed, the electric wiring to be installed, the second floor internal walls to be erected and drywalled,…and the work continues.  Currently, the outside of the house is being stuccoed and the goal is to get that completed, and complete enough bedrooms in the new structure for the Blessing family to move over there, so that the roof on the original structure can be replaced.  This was the hope for this year, but has now become the necessity, as the old roof has begun leaking and must be replaced before winter.  Please pray with us that the Lord will provide the finances, the workers, and the weather (!) for this to happen.

Things are changing pretty quickly around here right now, so we will try to update you often with new pictures.  We encourage you to subscribe to the site (which you can do on the top, right-hand side of this page), so that you will be notified by e-mail when updates are posted.  (You only need to subscribe one time to receive updates for the whole Blessing Ministry site.)

  1. What a beautiful and spacious home for its purposes. I can’t wait to see some interior pics. It looks like there will be ample natural light and the construction looks a bit more superior than most homes in the states. So cool.

    • Thanks, Andrew! We’re thankful for how the Lord confirmed many times the layout for the house, so we trust He will be using every space being built! It can be difficult to find honest workers that do good quality (we did have to switch crews once), but it’s a blessing that God has been providing good workers and that He has opened the way for the house to be built at a time when quality materials are available here.

  2. Praise the Lord for what he has done through his servants. I’m glad I learned several years ago that God is seldom early, never late but always on time in accomplishing his purposes for his Glory. And I’m thankful the Lord put in his word that his plans will not be thwarted.
Thank you Lord for letting us be a part of your work in the Ukraine.

    • Yes, Dad/Papa; we praise the Lord all the time for what He has done and thank Him for all the wonderful people who are a part of this work. Thank you for always being such an encouragement. We love you!

  3. WOW!!!!! God is so good! These pictures are wonderful. What a joy to know that Gary & I are a small part of the wonderful work that the Lord is doing in the Ukraine!

    • Glad you enjoyed the pictures; we plan to post some new ones in a few days. It is a blessing to us that y’all have been part of this ministry, and continue to be. We love y’all!
